    BASELINE:
    Phone is the Sony-Ericsson T-700
    Vehicle is a 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10

Here are the offerings from Brodit (ProClip is just the USA distro for them):
    - Brodit/ProClip Holder for Sony/Ericsson T700 (#875279):

    $35 USD
I know....at that price, you thought that it came with a charger.
Gotta spend an extra $25 if you want juice!
Out-of-focus product shots are free though.

Brodit/ProClip Angled Mount for 2005 Dodge Ram 1500(#852972):
    $30 USD
Note that for some reason they put the mounting plate clip on the FAR side of the dash, away from the driver.
Also, check out the size of that mama! Blocks almost 1/2 the vent! Impressive!

The mount CAN NOT be put on the opposite side.
Well, it could, but then your phone would face the passenger.
With only 15º of available tilt, that's only enough to get the phone facing straight back (almost).

I didn't bother with the THIRTY DOLLAR mount plate that IS NOT CORRECT.

I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking:

    NOTES:
    - Brodit/ProClip is the ONLY company that makes a holder for the T700.
    - The open cell foam on the back is mine.
    - The two zip ties are mine.
    - Vent still works 100% (directions correctly too).
    - Cost of mount = less than $1.

Great "make over" on a dips#it design Kevan.....makes you wonder sometimes if manufacturers even try out what they design..

I'm gonna guess here, Larry, and go with a big ol "No f'ing way". LOL

Another thing about the Brodit/ProClip mount plate:
Since it just slides in between the silver center section and the main console grille, there's nothing to prevent it from sliding the few inches vertically along that line (I've spent plenty of time behind that console...heh heh).

There's a decent amount of tension between the plastic parts, but I don't think it's enough to keep it in position considering how violent the ride is in the SRT-10.

    This ain't no Caddy.

    EDIT:
Can anyone tell me WTF these notches are for?
I've been trying for a week to figure it out. Nada.

No idea what the notches would be for... maybe... nope... I got nothin.

Looks great tho. I love the idea of "strapping" the mount to the dash!

When you spill your coffee on it those are drain holes...

I'm guessing it's to allow it to flex. If you had the overhang go all the way to the corner it would be too rigid.
