Cost, wheels and tires were 9K, exhaust system 2.5K, s/c 7K, longblock engine 16K, driveline est. 2.5k, other misc. est. 5k Total 35K maybe. I'm selecting top of line componets and we all know more hp/tq is just more $$$$.

CMR tuning on an F/I application is more involved, thus being a tad more expensive...

Rule of thumb, "You get what you pay for".

I'd love to meet some other Florida Mopar enthuiasts once this build is complete. I intend to remain an active forum participant as well as do some car shows and some racing as well. I know there are lots I still have to do to complete this project but finally pulling the trigger and taking the first steps feels great! I appreciate everyones experiences and input. Thanks very much!!

This engine is going to be insane.

We start with the bare block, then we have the standard K-1 crank, but instead of K-1 rods, we are using Carrillo H-Beam rods and instead of using the Carrillo WMC rod bolts which are comparable to the ARP 2000 rod bolts, we are using CARR rod bolts. The rods alone are $2,000. The pistons are our in house favorite 2618 Wiseco forgings with gas nitrided GFX rings. The skirts and the piston tops are coated as well as combustion chambers and bearings. The heads will be over ported with bronze sleeves pressed in where the pushrods feed through in order for us to run a 3/8" pushrod instead of the normal 5/16" pushrod. We will be using the stage 2 heads with titanium retainers, PSI springs, Stainless valves, machined locks, hardened locators, viton seals, and bronze guides. The block will be O-ringed to ensure we do not blow gaskets out and ARP main and head bolts are also being used. The block will also have billet main caps.

We are excited to work with you on this and we'll take the best possible care of you!! Andy and I are chatting now and I'll have a list of some other things we will need to do to the car to make it the ultimate Challenger beast!!!!! It's going to be insane, that is for sure!! I have a feeling I'll have parts all over the shop here in the very near future!

    Your Project Manager,
    Lisa.

    Engine is coming together nicely.

Rubbel, I went ahead and upgraded you to tool steel wrist pins, so I need to add that to the list.

Glad to hear that. After PRI show need to start getting some other details together with you and Lisa. I'm ready to start buying driveline componets, set-up for a roll cage fabrication, check with Techco on what we need to get their system able to run 12-15 psi, safety harness', ect. Have the money now to start accumulating parts from you and BMC both. Still a lot of choices to be made. An in car display like Zetronics or the new Diablo Trinity to show boost, a/f ratio, eg temp, ect. would be a nice safety feature to keep tabs on what the beast is doing. Drag tires and rims will be the very last purchase. I still want all first class componets for the remainder of the build. I feel really good having selected PPP and BMC for this project. Your input (and Tim early on as well as Lisa)have really helped me more than you know. After waiting so long for my car to be delivered this part seems easy! It will be very interesting to see the Techco s/c in action! Any input from experienced members is welcomed!
