There's a great event taking place in Las Vegas on April 8-10. The second annual "Pony Car Wars," part of the Mopars at the Strip (MATS) extravaganza, will pit 2006 and newer Dodge Challengers, Chevy Camaros and Ford Mustangs against each other on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway quarter mile. The winner of this competition takes a cash prize of $500...unless it's a Challenger, in which case the prize doubles to $1,000! For those who have never attended, MATS offers a full drag racing program, autocross, car show, swap meet, manufacturers midway, and more. Any other Challenger owners going to Vegas to take on the Chevy and Ford contingents? This is the only formal Challenger vs. Camaro vs. Mustang drag racing event that I know of. It's gonna be a lot of fun, and there's a decent payout to the winner, too!
