Yep... It has the same motor as the Neon SRT-4 (although, it is de-tuned slightly.... mostly due to having a muffler).
But it is just about as up-gradable. I don't think MOPAR makes any kits for it other then the S1, but I know a guy in San Diego with one that has a .50 trim turbo on it. 350+ hp on only 14 psi.
Yeah.... But, why would I want to put a bigger turbo on my MOM's car? :dunno2: LMAO!!!! You guys didn't HONESTLY think I would really buy one of these things, did you???!!?? :dumb::grin::huglove:
Actually.... It was kinda nice yesterday... 77 deg and sunny. I had the top down. It's just "on loan", until my new vehicle gets here.
damm i was like theres no way he trade in the truck but glad to see you didnt  hahahahahaha so how do you like it!!!!
HAHAHAHA...nice car for the Mom. There are a few differences, intake, itercooler, etc...my Neon(05) stock was putting 220hp to the wheels, the Mrs GT Cruiser(04) is stock and putting down 185hp to the wheels. I'm sure that some of the difference is the auto-stick trans instead of the manual. But They can be uped just as easy as the neons. I think Nevins has got his up in the 250-260whp range right now.
Ya know.... two days ago, when I had the top down on a beautiful Florida afternoon, it was pretty good! The power isn't too bad.... I would classify it as "peppy". :bigwink: LOL! The little thing rides great on the highway, shifts smooth, and smokes the tires in 1st and 2nd with the traction control off. All around, it's a nice little car. Mom loves it! lol.
Ya know... I've been driving this little car for about 6 weeks now. And, I have to say, I kinda like it. :dunno2:  It's fairly quick, gets good gas mileage, and is comfortable. The convertible makes it COMPLETELY USELESS for carrying ANYTHING, tho :dumb:. ........ But, I might seriously have to find a hard top GT to keep around. In case I need to take something home that wont fit in the vette(s).
if you mod the intake you'll get more of that turbo sound and better response http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9004
