Did you ever figure out what your higher then usual oil pressure was from?? Im still suffering the same thing but not as bad. It did help when I went to a thinner oil..
Ill have to look. But it wasnt always like this. At least I dont think it was. Its running well,I was just wondering if there is any harm being done.. I know TOO much isnt a good thing but how much is too much?
After Kyle posted his numbers with the 15-50, I checked mine out. I was high pressure cold (I know its thicker, etc.), but once it came up to temp everything was fine.
Does it have a cooler on it (maybe a hose kink)? What filters does the owner usually run? It doesn't have a K1 crank does it?
Mine went down to 24 PSI at idle, and ~180* ECT...still a little on the high side, but fine. I was maxing it out at WOT with the 15-50. I forget what weight you went to, but I'm running 0-30 mobil one with a k&n hp2004 filter.
The owner is me And im running a Scat crank. As for the filter I usuallr run either the Fram PH8 or Mobil one. Ill give that a shot Thanks
It was a pin hole in the dip stick tube where the weld broke where the bracket meets the oil dip stick. Who da thunk?
Wow, that had to be tough to locate. With this new cooler weather, idle is up to 34psi. Haven't been WOT to see what happens.
