Does yours ride well with the Goldline? I am considering coilovers because I spend about 3 hours total per day in the car and it is killer going over bridges and not perfectly smooth roads. I am just not sure if I want to invest in coilovers because I am not sure how much longer I am going to keep the car.(P.S., I believe I saw your car at Hooters friday night.)

quick question about thie removal/install of the strut mount.

i know on some cars (my tib and some others) the strut mount and strut top itself is slotted/keyed, so when you try to loosen it all up, the strut doesn't spin when you try and turn it.

i know when i did the springs on my old friends first gen neon, we had this issue because we were not using air tools. so everytime we tried to loosen the strut mount from the strut, the whole thing spun.

i don't have any air tools at my disposal, so i just want to know what i am getting into as far as that part of the swap.. the other stuff im not worried about.

i didnt use air tools to remove the top hat u need a 1/4" 10mm socket and extension with a spark plug socket that looks like u can use a wrench on the top of it

im kinda confused on what you are saying as far as getting that nut off. i know on the older neons, you had to use a closed wrench on the nut and like a 10MM or something on the top of the threaded part of the strut..

so a 1/4" socket wrench with 10mm socket.
    spark plug socket?
and where does the wrench come into play.

are you telling me thats the case with the srt also.. please don't :novote:

sorry, like my member title says.. i am a srt4 n00b.

OK u take the 1/4" drive ratchet with a 3" extension with a 10mm on the end of it than u take the spark plug socket and u put the 1/4" extension through the plug socket and u find a wrench that fits the top of the plug socket it might be a 19mm i dont remember off hand and go from there

Is the tire supposed to be practically touching the bottom of the strut? I can't, for the life of me, figure out why my tire is so close to the strut. Any ideas?

good write up nev. I'll post some of my pics for the aftermarket mopar coilover install in a few weeks, to add to this thread; even though the instructions are exactly the same, with the exception of the necessary endlinks needed for an aftermarket setup.

It's not actually touching is it? How close are you talking, can you ballpark a measurement?

It's not touching but it's pretty darn close. I'd say about a centimeter or two.
