I've done many things graphic wise but never ventured off to doing any sort of show poster. For the last 4 days on and off I've been working on one for my car. With the possibility of entering my car in the Mopar Showoff that will be in Orlando in April I figured it would be nice to have one. Here is what I put together... Updated one below (3/6/09):
Not bad Jesus, not bad at all. The reflection of the rear end pic on the bottom is a little crooked though. And could you maybe add a red Mopar emblem to the empty space on the bottom half? But you did real good man. Waaaaaaaaaaay beyond my realm of talent fo sho!!
Thanks Wade and Chase! Took both of your suggestions that I read while I was at work, got home and worked on it some more and this is how it turned out: Let me know what you guys think. Always opened to ideas/suggestions/feedback. Thanks guys! Always appreciate the positive feedback :friends: Mmmmm, not yet we have to work on modding more the exterior of her car which she bugs me about hehe. I might be working on some LED tails for her car but a different style of aftermarket tail lights. She also wants different headlights and some few odds and ends.
Jesus on the bottom of the car on the rear you need to add a shaddow under the car then bring the mirrored layer up to match.
Well the thing about it is really you should do Overlay layer not normal on it. What you see that I've been posting is a normal layer. Hazman uses the Overlay layer if infact there is a background behind the image. Here is the show poster with the Overlay: Now if I don't use the flame background as the base of the car then you can do something like this:
now the bottom one the shadow is way too dark and too wide. if you take down the fill or opasity down to like 60-75% i'll have a little more transparency and look more shadowy, then shrink it a bit so its just under the car and not pass the wheels. here i did this really quick on a reflection you need a little shadow underneath
good now move your shadow so its completely under the top car and move the mirrored layer up till the tires touch
now if you want to get the car to sit stright. select the 3 layers and go up in Edit>free transform once the box comes up move your arrow to the corner and wait till you see a half moon arrow then rotate it till its stright.
