The Hazman Reflection Step1 make a clean cut out of your ride Step 2 copy that layer then paste it into a new layer Flip it and adjust so the low points touch Step 3 pull up the corners with the warp tool(part of the transform set scale ,rotate, flip, warp) Step 4 add a little motion blur at 90 degrees Step 5 Add a shadow layer in between these two layer Step 5 Tweak everything till you like it Step 6 Now just you can add your background
Awesome! I will try some these out on my free time. Thanks! I believe you need Photoshop CS2+ to be able to do The Hazman Reflection
No you don't need it. Any graphic program including Paint Shop Pro allows you to copy and image and paste it onto a new layer. On the new layer, you go to "Flip" Action. This flips the image. Now copy it and paste it back into the original layer where you can then add the Motion blur or if you'd like you can set the opacity of that layer down to 50% or so (your preference) to make it appear somewhat transparent. A blur on this layer ties it up nicely. Thanks Hazman....these links are very useful. :good:
I understand that concept but I thought the warp tool wasn't a feature on the older versions of Photoshop like 7.0? His Hazman Reflection how-to uses the warp tool. Also on another forum I believe Hazman stated this or someone else did that was trying to do it with 7.0. I have 7.0 and CS2. I'll check it out tomorrow because I would like to practice this how-to.
Ah yes, you're probably right then since I haven't used 7 in a bit. There are a couple other tools that do this as well. If the mesh warp tool isn't available, you can try the perspective tool or a distortion effect. Lastly, if you can paste the layer right up to the bottom line of the image, you may be able to motion blur "up" a bit after rotating the layer slightly to the right or left depending on what you need...use the lasso tool to select the part of the image that needs to be brought up and moion blur that part upwards a bit more. This will work for sigs because they are small and hide imperfections but a wallpaper size image may be more challenging. I think Jon (Draggin Wagon) still likes to use 7 so he may chime in. Just got my hands on Photoshop CS3 tonight so I'm hoping is better than 2 is...otherwise PaintShop Pro is niiiice.
Reflections Changing your reflection layer form Normal to Overlay this helps the blending into the background layer Here is layer set to normal (default) this setting works with a black background and reduced by 50% If you have a background set your reflection layer to overlay This lets you have the best of both layers Keep up the great work!!
StarBurst 50 brush This brush is not in the default brushes and must be loaded When you load the new brushes your will be asked to apply or append. I append the brushes so I still have my old brushes. Once loaded they will always load when you start photoshop In the brush menu Then load ASSORTED brushes (comes with photoshop) Select Starbrust 50 (can be sized as needed) Have fun but don't over do it
