Went out for some pitch black night shots of the Caliber SRT-4. I wanted to get better at shooting at a black car in the middle of the night. I think I did "okay." Light Painting is a technique that needs to be constantly Practiced Shot with a Sony A65 and 35mm Prime Side View Front View Ass View Hope you folks enjoy! Gabriel
Those are great! What kinda set-up are you using as far as the light painting goes? I like the halo-ing effect you have on the asphalt underneath the car. (especially the first one)
I am just using a single 15LED lamp thingie I got on the cheap lol. Its not much but it blasts bright enough to create the lighting I need for these shots. I just use a Long exposure (around 10 to 15sec), shoot at around ISO400 to capture in some stars, and hope I light correctly. Always shoot with the timer as I have to be the one running around the car lighting it the right way for the angle I am aiming for. Its fun stuff, and I am just barely starting to really break the ice on this technique. Its tough! Having a wide open prime lens helps big time as well! Thanks for the comments!
Those pics are most impressive, Gabe!! Great job!!! I would love to get shots of my truck like that!!! Perhaps someday....
Day or Night Goober, doesn't matter. You have a great talent with the camera. Well done buddy. Tell your mom and pops hello for me.
