Or any other pump for that matter.......Anyone do it successfully yet?I saw one person start to install but never heard what happened.I'd really like to do the pump over a boost-a-pump but I want to see a finished install and hear reviews........anybody???I need to get this done very soon......probably order the boost-a-pump Monday am.
Yeah.....I keep hearing it fits fine but no one can actually show me.........guess I will get the boost a pump and be done with it.
I know it will fit in, it seemed a hair shorter but you would probably have to secure it down with a hose clamp or something cause of cutting it like in that pic we seen or breaking it to get the old one out. My friend is a Chrysler tech and he warantied a fuel pump and we took the old one and were in a hurry and broke the tabs getting the stock one out but the 255 slid in and the plug and hoses hooked up but that is as far as we went with it that was last November. I would also like to see the finished product from the person who showed the pics of taking it out
Is the top of a SRT10 pump assembly the same. If it is they have a 255 walbro in them already. If not. Swap tops. That would be the easyiest way I can think of to do this. Shouldn't take more then about 20 min to change pump tops. Now the only problem I can think of would be the plastic line that is used. But just replace it with some aeroquip -6 push loc hose. Use a single use(crimp) clamp to re-secure the line. I could set you up if you need. I would need both pumps to do this.
