Dealer hooked up their starscan tool to the sled. They can control the fans manually from that. FANS WEREN'T COMING ON, AT ALL. This is on my BRAND NEW fan assembly I purchased from Go-part.com. Dealer said the wires all looked fine, had power and ground, so all was good there. But when fans were triggered to come on from their starscan tool, nothing, nada, zip......
Dealership isn't going to charge me anything (I guess breakfast paid off, lol) But this really pisses me off. That fan assembly has less than 200 miles on it. I'm gonna call that website now.....is it possible this brand new unit is faulty???

Anything is possible, but unlikely...did they change/check the relays?
If your getting juice to the fan motor and the motor isn't coming on, then you know it's the motor and not the relay, if not, then it's the relay...look the fan blade itself over...the outer shroud is prone to breaking upon install...I killed 2 new motors because i had a fine crack in the fan blade shroud and when the fan would kick on, and centrifugal force would open up the crack causing the shroud to bind against the blade shroud and burn up the motor...

Yup. Have juice to the fan motors. Service writer said "we have power and ground, but fans aren't coming on." Talking with Go-Part.com right now.....

i'm thinking the blade shroud may have been damaged on install...I did that myself.

If you have time today, pull the assembly and check your blade shroud. FYI, the nut that holds the fan blade to the motor is left hand thread.

ok chase........ my dear car must be having some sympathy feelings for yours........ twins seperated maybe???? this morning on the way to work i stopped by the local store for a drink and left the car running as usual (i know, not a good idea)....

jumped back in after maybe a minute and looked up at the dash daq and see208?!?!?!!? car has not seen those temps since my new t-stat went in!!! drove a little and temps creep up to 214....... then suddenly free fall bakc to 180 in just about 15 seconds!! i truly can't tell if my fans are running from inside the car anymore because of the whine of the blower....... i just hope this was an isloated issue!!!!

Car overheated on the way home again....:( She's in the garage now, though. Go-Part is shipping me a brand new fan assembly (free of charge). Should be here by Tuesday. On Wednesday, she'll go to Morgan Performance Fabrication for the swap out. I've communicated the "issues" you brought up Kyle, to Walker. He's going to be EXTRA careful installing this time. We'll inspect old fans upon removal. I really hope this is the end of it all......I haven't enjoyed my car for over 4 months now......:(
