I liked the first AVP cause it took the series back to the dark, dreary, scarier side for both the Alien and Predator. Only thing was pg13, they cut all the gore which takes away from the impact of it all. This one looks like they ain't holding anything back! :yahoo:
Yeah the acid melting off that guys face (laying on the ground) pretty much kicked PG13 in the nuts....I'm going to have to toss the special edition of Aliens2 in for a fix! "in case you aren't up on current events.... we just got our ASS KICKED...." I have all the AVP comics that DarkHorse did as well.
That was awesome! Along with when the Predator blows off the two guys heads at once, gotta love it!! "Why don't you put her in charge!!" lol!
oh yea...melting some guys face off with acid usually will do that... did i see segrouney weaver or at least a look alike?...did they bring her in to this movie...WHAT ABOUT ARNOLD! hahaha what happened to the chick from the first one who was "branded" by predator for being bad ass and killing the alien
Don't know about that other chick, didn't see her name in the credits. No sigourney weaver either, that's a lookalike, besides this movie like AVP 1 takes place in our time frame, not the future. I saw a lot of things that reminded me of the past Alien/Pred movies (like the alien holding the guy and bashing his brains out (like Harry Dean Stanton had happen to him in the first Alien). Also the Predators look bad azz, don't think they'll be "teaming up" with any humans this time! I think they're trying to bring back a lot of the original GOOD stuff. Works for me! No arnold, he's too busy (even for the next terminator, check it out online). I always thought they should have done a 3 predator with Arnold and Danny Glover, oh well.
I need to go read the comics again to refresh my memory, but as I recall the Predators were purposely dropping Alien eggs onto planets with humans so they can do their face hugging and setup their sports arena with fresh adult Aliens. If any of the humans happen to still be alive they are just bonus points. :starwars:
