Let's get this thread going again... Denise and Mikey tend to bring things to a halt with their ranting... I decided to attract new birds to the yard this year...have nesting pairs of tree swallow, blue birds, lots of gold finches, and a new arrival yesterday...a humming bird!
I drove a semi for 9 years everywhere north and south from the East coast West to as far as Omaha. a million miles.
This fills in SOOOO many blanks... Last time I posted on this, I was still preggers. April 2008 was hell. I was admitted to the hospital with vomiting on April 1st, my daughter was delivered via emergency c-section on April 4th (10 weeks premature) and my husband had his appendix taken out (also emergency) on April 29th. The baby's fine now (see other threads) and she's already interesting... AB+ blood type (I'm A+, Marc's B+), only one "mongolian spot" (which I call a mongolian dot) on her tush, and in spite of being born 2 lbs 10 oz, now is the size of the average 18 month old and she's only 13 months. Some weirdness I've realized this past year... My daughter has the same western astrological sign as my mom and the same Chinese sign as my dad. She was originally due the day after the 28th anniversary of my father's death and I would've been the same age as my dad when he died. My daughter and I were both born early on a Friday morning during an election year (1976, 2008). In both cases, our dads had to wait outside while the mom was under anesthesia... so none of our relatives were actually "there" when we came into the world. Both during a year when a Democrat was elected after a contentious/controversial Republican administration. During both years/periods there was a gas crisis, a middle east / terrorist issue, and a swine flu of some kind. I'm starting to understand why my mom's a basket case.

Wish we had a better selection of birds. lol However, our Robin's came back this year (I guess they took last year off?) and are nesting in our Plum Tree. The Humming Birds are looking for their sugar water, but Maureen has yet to make it. haha The Rabbits are getting smarter. Anytime they hear the garage open or se me, they haul ass. I've got two boys who are innovators of destruction who I swear will be famous for something they have destroyed before they are thirty(never show a 9 year old how to start a propane torch) Pretty soon I will pay off the magnum, just in time to lose my job(don't you love irony). Moved once a year from 1995 to 2004. Spent 9 years in the air force and with that got to check out the toilets in Korea, Saudi, Kuwait, Germany, Italy, France, Japan and oh yeah, Hollywood(not much different). On Feb 14th I was engaged to the most beautiful woman in the world :love::love::love: Oh yeah! been sober for 6months too! Right on guys!
