I dropped off my stock wheels at Wheel Refinisher in Annapolis to have the pockets painted black. So I drove up to Annapolis (From Leesburg) to pick up the wheels yesterday and have them reinstalled. I washed the car today and brake dust was not the only thing that came off the wheels. They offered to redo them, but it is a 3 hour drive round trip. I don't want to waste another 3 hours and possible have the same issues....
OMG, Immo, I would be doing back flips!!! Your pics don't show any evidence of surface prep prior to painting...it looks like they went directly onto the chrome - could that be? :dumb:
This is the Shop Wheel Repair, Wheel Refinishing, Fix Rims, Maryland, Michigan BTW I wanted them to look like this:
I'd be totally pissed. Take them back and get them to do something else for you too like pay for your gas and refund some of the money. It's the least they could do for such a half ass job. Damn, a blind crack-addled monkey could have done that...hopefully they fire him. lol...seriously, hope for the best Immo. But they should pay for this.
If you lost a total of 6 hours driving, you could have saved the money bought two cans Rustolium and done a better job. I would definetly ? their process. It doesn't look like they did any prep work at all. You could power wash it off and start at square one and find a more competent shop and ask for a refund from that shop.
I really appreciate everyone's input!!!! I dropped them off at Keystone Auto in Sterling, VA this AM. They can do the Machine Finish and Power coating. They said 3-4 days. They have a video of there process on there website.
yeah they didnt prep them at all....and looks like they used freaking spray paint.... i would make them redo it and then front the bill for the gas on the way down and back....its not your fault they suck at what they do.
If needed, would anyone be willing to talk to AMEX to help support my case? If so can you PM me your contact info?
