Making sure my teams are OK.

Looks like everyone is OK up here. Varying degrees of damage to peoples homes/properties but nothing catastrophic.

If we get through tomorrow without major incident (some flooding is still yet to hit its peak due to runoff) we should be good to go.

Overall I think we are pretty lucky.

NY can deal with 2 Feet of snow without a prob, but Hurricanes and Earthquakes are not our strong suit haha.

LOL - is it still OK to be confused? Do you work at IBM?

Man - the damage done by this storm could vary greatly from block to block, and definitely town to town. My parent's live up on the side of a mountain in NY and got several inches of rain in their basement... Brother-in-law got a full basement, with personal belongings floating out the windows in to the yard. Gaahh - don't know what to do for them. Me - just a few puddles in the basement.

My mom just spent a 10 hour day taking calls (she's an insurance claims processor) that were mostly about flooded basements. She'll probably earn a few extra hundred dollars in overtime this week.
