    Just wish more citizens would pay attention to this great country and the predicament we are in with relation to the rest of the world.

    Yes, without the military we all would not be here.

    as much as i found the reading interesting, i still find it hard to read someone listing statistical numbers to things such a the total number of killed soldiers......early wars were fought on foot, with infantry soldiers....they were long a bloody.....as the years went by, technology got better (read air force to some degree) fighting became less closed quarters and much more from a distance....hence deaths declined. either way, i am very proud to be the product of generations of military men. if not for being colorblind, i would be in the military like my father was, like his father, and his fathers father, etc.........

    ron, remember the picture on the wall in my family room??? the one with all the medals..... i look at that picture everyday and thank my grandfather and father for their services!!!!!
