Madeline's hijinx and exploits...

Oh my .. more money !

This is from a couple of weeks ago. Madeline insisted I break out the camera, believe it or not. Kept pointing at it till I took it down and powered it up. She likes it when I take pictures and then she can look at them on the view screen.














This is from last week when she had her first cold ever. After a couple of days she was back to normal like it never happened. Still though, I kinda miss when that hat still fit!



And from this weekend when we stayed at my father-in-law's ranch in the Central Valley where all the fruit orchards are starting to bloom.

Madeline had fun checking out the farm animals. You can't see it but she kept trying to "greet" the donkeys. Kind of a combination of "Hi!" and trying to touch them.




This is the first photo of Madeline and her grandfather together. She wasn't into it (just woke up) but he was pleased.

Madeline REALLY wanted to pet the English Bulldog there, but we figured it was best not to. Kiddo still has NO fear!

She found the hat I got from SF4 last year and started wearing it around. Clashes with her bunny pjs, but she digs it.







She finally has enough hair that I can kinda put it up in a pony tail, if she'd only sit still long enough. Also apparently Elmo is her "baby" now too.






From our attempt at going to the Dublin St. Patrick's Day Festival. We were all pretty pooped just after having some lunch but Madeline and I got to walk around in public in our "Sassy Irish Lassie" shirts. Oh and apparently Madeline likes Bangkok Pepper Steak and yes, that stuff is freakin' hot. But she was eating it like candy between generous sips of water.




Oh and her new favorite shoes. She's even just about figured out how to put them on herself.

 

Even with all the latest tantrums and terrible twosieness, she still knows how to work it for the camera.

Well, I got her into her new pajamas and she liked them so much she made me get the camera out to take pictures. I'm in trouble now. She's figured out what the camera does and that she can review her pictures in the little screen. She'll pose for a picture, then run over to see how it came out then laugh and clap about it and go back for more poses. I'm just glad its digital and not old school film or we'd be broke!

And Elmo books apparently trump everything!

 

Madeline's two year check up was today. She's doing great and is now 35" tall and weighs 26 pounds, so one inch and one pound. She's in the 75-90% for height and 25-50% for weight, so tall and thin as usual. Best news, no more check ups until she's three.

 

I think she needs bigger sunglasses... LOL

Oh my, she is such a cutie! I just had to check out all 10 pages of her :grin:
She's just like my 7 year old who will literally stop what she's doing to smile for the camera.

 

Yeah, I have to catch her at the right moment or she's more interested in how the camera works than in being cute for the camera. She's a pro at the photo studio though. Always hits her mark, checks the monitor to see how she looks, has her own poses. All I have to do is wrestle her into her dresses and sit on the sidelines.

 

I'll post up new pictures once we're settled into the new apartment. Madeline is coming right along. She can differentiate between "Cah" (Car), "Plane", "Boat" and "Truck", and she has great comedic timing when she opines "Ooo, goss!" (Ew, gross!). And she bosses me around or tries to, is talking in sentences which partially sound like English. Her first sentence was something along the lines of "Look, Mom, I made a mess" which she had. She was just polite enough to tell me so I could clean it up. :doh:

I'm really digging parenthood now.

 

And yes, its hard to believe this was from two years ago...
