This is the second in a series of videos on showing non compliant LX OEM bushes. Does this mean the bushing is bad? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Are these bushes good enough for true, maximum performance? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
When not just 1 bushing is non compliant, meaning excess movement that will effect tire position as inertia takes place, but all 42 bushes are involved, you have a very serious amount of non compliance or excess movemement. This affects the predictability of your LX when you are hard into a corner, or releasing your line lock at 3000RPM off the line. Putting your vehicle into compliance will increase your skid pad G forces by over .2 and decrease your 60 to 0 stopping by up to 8 feet.

The biggest movement of any bushings on the OEM LX product are the rear subframe bushings, or Xmember bushes as we call it. This video will show upwards of 1/2 inches side to side. In the video, you can literally see the witness marks of the rubber bumpers on the xmember bush movement. You can also see where the outer metal case is contacting the body.

On a Hemi LX, when you shoot a heavy corner, you literally can feel the entire rear end assembly move separately from the body. On a SRT8, the movement is there, but due to the lowering, and heavier springs and 20 inch wheels, the movement is there, but it is not as noticable. But, the movement is there!.

The Pedders replacement bushing literally has 400% plus more body contact, and virtually the "stepping out" movement due to the amount of body contact, and the strong dura of the poly bush, is virtually gone!

Enjoy the video. If you have any questions, just ask
