We have started the first test fit of a brand new, 400 miles, Challenger SRT8. It is a very impressive ride. There are some changes. Also is a link of ongoing pictures on my webshots.

I have done some extensive review of all the bushes and the components. It does appear that Chrysler has made 3 changes that I can find:
    1. Front Upper control arm bushings have seriously increased dura
    2. the rear shocks have gone from Nivomats to Bilsteins
    3. The rear trailing arm has been updated from a pot metal unit to a very well built tubular steel unit. But the bush is still really soft!

Now Trojans Challenger has only 400-500 miles on it. But I would assume the miles have not been "without play". With that said, there is still, with respect to handling and control, a very serious deficit in bushing movement and quality. His right front xmember bush is already showing cracking and fatiguing as well as the front radius rod bushes.

I have made a pictorial on the Challenge Track II install . You can see it at:

We are done with the front end, and have the back end all stripped down, with the rear xmember bushes out and the rear lower control arm bushes out. What is left is replacing all the bushes in the back links. So check out the web site above and see what and how we have done
Spo buddy, you want pictures. I's show you your stinkin pictures! LOL. By the time I am done, we will have about 125 to 150 photos documenting the total install of the 42 or so bushes.
Special note: Ads of now, there are about 120 photos and there will be about 40 more to complete the entire install documentation!
    enjoy!

    thanks

    What is incresed dura?
Would the improved trailing arm help a 2007 Charger?

I have a full TrackII package and use it every month on a road track, so I need all the help I could get.

The OEM upper control arm bushes are seriously stronger than the ones that I have seen with the dozens of Track IIs that I have done. This is a big advancement with Chrysler. But they did didly with the other bushes that are much more important that the upper control arm bushes.

Trojans Challenger has about 600 miles or so, and I am sure they have not been easy miles. But there was a large omount of bushing wear or concerns present. The rear Xmember bushes showed signes of splitting on the right front, plus the evidence showing the bushing or rear end assembly is moving laterally to the body about 15mm.

Now the rear trailing arm is a huge approvement. It is a steel tubed unit, and seriously better than the potmetal older style. But the bush is a gooey as normal.

Hope this helps. There are a lot of pictures on my forum for all to see
