    Impressive amout of "SPECIAL" components.....But......
Anyone can use the highest quality parts they can....even gold plate the outside.
Does it work together to blend well with the rest of the driveline components?....Is it streetable as a daily driver?.......Does it last?....
How about the quality of the smal parts or the quality of construction?

It always makes me a little uneasy when companies get hyper defensive while attacking their competitors... Sometimes it's just that the people who know how to make really good stuff shouldn't be allowed to talk to the public. Sometimes the only way to defend your product is to yell the loudest. I'd rather see something like 30% of all torque converter failures are directly due to the cover exploding or indirectly due to cover imbalance. We've eliminated this with our billet cover that has never exploded with n1000 units in use and is balanced within this tolerance... yada, yada. Then you've got a verifiable explanation of why theirs is better. That tirade had a lot of "our competitors suck" with not much "because" following it.

Got to say though, that is a fine looking cover!

I agree with you. On the other hand though, separating oneself from "the rest" is often needed to get the sales. Some manufacturers try to be different for it's own sake though...:domotwak:

Mine is an APS, and has worked great since day 1. Mine was custom built with N2O in mind.

If your going to get the P/T converter ask for the jeep SRT8 converter. I have a customer that I specifically wanted a 3200+ stall converter. I tried using PTC converters and that was a huge POS. Then I went with P/T like I have on others (thought since PTC was doing more to their converter it would be better :bang:) so I asked for the jeep srt8. The jeep comnverter in a 6.1 is nice and loose. It will flash to @3100 rpm's and will brake stall at @2700-2800 rpm's. Depending on modes and of course torque the stall we be higher with motors producing greater torque. All in all the P/T converter works flawlessly, just like you ask it to do the first time around...........not the second or third.

cam uses husky tools to do converters

A little late to the party but Precision all the way. Nothing but good 1st and second hand experience with them in the past.

I have, after much back and forth, decided on the Precision Industries 2800.

426 and a hundred or so launches helps a little. LOL

I have about 12 launches since the halfshafts where done, and still running the 305/45-18 DR's.

I easliy see 1.5's also, and 1.4's for a select few this year.

Should be close to the next weakest link time.

Seems like I need to add this mod to my list.

My 11.75 looks pretty good.....with my 1.95 second 60' time.

I'd love to quickly shave .30-.40 seconds off in the first 60'.

You will needrag radials also. We went from the following.
    1.9---12.2---street tires/stock converter
    1.7---11.6--drag radials/stock converter
    1.5---11.2--drag radials/2800 converter

We gained right at a full second with drag radials and a converter.

Yup. I've got wheels/tires covered. Followed Jeremy's lead on the rubber. Went with a much lighter 17" wheel though. If I don't hit 10's on 3/22, I'm calling you for a converter next....

Then you need DR's, and then halfshafts and maybe a Quaife. And the beat goes on.

    Wake up man!!!

I have 17" wheels for all four corners.
    275 40R17 DOT slicks
    1,000 HP halfshafts

Only thing missing that some people have done is the Quaiffe diff.

    Bottom line.....

I'm getting there, I'm getting there. Pretty soon my weakest link in the entire driveline will be transmission, and then chassis rigidity.

EDIT: LOL - Hal, I just noticed that your prior post was made 1 minute after I posted that I was already covered on the drag radials. You obviously hadn't had a chance to read that post.

Even if I had read it, I would have forgot it. I vaguely remember the DR's from a picture now. Don't remember the halfshafts.
