Local News Bus driver killed in stabbing Monday, December 01, 2008 | 6:48 PM by Nika Beamon, Eyewitness News BROOKLYN -- A city bus driver was stabbed to death, apparently by a passenger, while in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn Monday. Witnesses told police that the suspect stabbed the driver during a dispute on the B-46 bus near Malcolm X Boulevard and Gates Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant just before 12:30 p.m. The suspect reportedly asked the driver for a transfer ticket even though he hadn't paid the fare. When 46 year old Edwin Thomas refused to give him one, the suspect turned violent. He stabbed Thomas once in the chest and once in the arm. He was rushed to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Thomas was a seven year MTA veteran. Story continues below Advertisement Authorities are looking for the passenger who fled the scene. Investigators say the suspect is a black man in his late teens. A witness reportedly chased the suspect, but lost him. That dumb@ss took a mans life over a BUS TRANSFER!!! I hope they catch him, and his sentence is the same as what he gave to the bus driver.
so sad this is crazy, he let the guy on the bus for free, WTF, them when he wanted to get off, he ask for a transfer. the bus driver told him NO, the guy punch him in the face, after that, the bus driver GAVE him the transfer, then the guy took 1step and step back and stabbed him. that guy got everything he wanted and still stabbed him.
Just f'in crazy, who would do something like that?!?!? So bus driver, check, another job not to have,, wow.
